Is your business address changing?
Here's how to prepare.

With the Coffs Harbour Bypass approaching, all properties along the affected corridor will receive a new street number, and some will also have a change to their street name, including sections of the existing Pacific Highway being renamed Solitary Islands Way.

If your business is located along the affected corridor, there are a few things you'll need to update. The good news is you can start preparing now.

What businesses need to know

Address notifications will be sent in November
Affected properties will receive a letter confirming their new street number and, where applicable, new street name.

Want to find out your new address sooner?
If you'd like to start preparing now, you can contact the Coffs Harbour Bypass project team at community@CHBteam.com.au to confirm your new street name and/or number.

When will the new address take effect?
Transport for NSW has advised that the address changes will take effect when the Coffs Harbour Bypass opens. The bypass is currently proposed to open in December 2026.

You can prepare now, but wait to make the changes

There are plenty of things you can start reviewing now, including where your current address appears across your website, social media, signage, stationery, packaging, business records and online listings.

We've put together a simple checklist to help you identify what may need changing and get organised ahead of the transition.

IMPORTANT: Don't change your Google Business Profile address yet!

Wait until your new address is officially active AND has been updated in Google Maps before changing your Google Business Profile.

Changing your business address too early could create problems with your listing, including triggering Google's verification process or potentially causing your profile to be suspended.

Your Google Business Profile is what helps customers find your business through Google Search and Google Maps, so it's important to get this right.

What you should know:

  • Don't update your Google Business Profile address before the official changeover.
  • Check that your new address is correctly showing in Google Maps before updating your profile.
  • Changing your address may trigger Google's verification process.
  • Google may ask you to provide evidence that your business operates from the new address.
  • Keep your existing Google Business Profile. Don't create a new listing just because your street address has changed.
