The 25th COFFS COAST INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY BREAKFAST

Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet provided by The Spare Chef Catering.

THEME: COUNT HER IN - Accelerating gender equality through economic empowerment.

While important progress has been made, women face significant obstacles to achieving equal participation in the economy.

This International Women's Day we join with UN Women Australia as we examine pathways to greater economic inclusion for women and girls everywhere.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:  MELISSA HARVIE  - CHOOSING CHANGE

"As humans, we are all on a shared journey. A personal fresh lens is possible and even a fun thing to consider".

Melissa Harvie is an experienced project, change and operations manager, businesswoman, elite athlete, team mate, mentor and coach, with a focus on performance, mental health and wellbeing.  Her corporate career involved program management, business transformation and regulatory change design and delivery for companies such as AMPCI,  AMP, Westpac, Macquarie Bank, Essential Energy and Rams Homeloans, to name a few. She has experienced first hand  the obstacles women face to achieve equal participation, in the workplace and in the sporting arena.     Melissa was born in Scotland and took her first skydive for charity at the age of 16. Since moving to Australia in 2002, she has represented Australia as a skydiver several times, and was a team member and consulting coach for the record-breaking Aussie Bigways skydiving team (2015-2022), as well as the Sport Development Manager for the Australian Parachute Federation (2021-2023).  In addition to coaching and corporate activities, Melissa volunteers as a Lifeline Telephone Crisis Supporter and with Rethink Wellbeing as a coach to facilitate online mental health peer support groups.
