Connect for Success

November is NSW Small Business Month and local businesses are being offered the chance to tap into expertise from a wide range of industries, hear new ideas and learn new skills – all for FREE thanks to funding by NSW Government.

“From hospitality and retail to the circular economy and agrifood – experts will share their knowledge and motivate you to grow your own venture,” said Natalia Cowley, City of Coffs Harbour General Manager.

Choose your industry focus and come along to learn new skills and hear new ideas to help you navigate the road ahead. Most importantly it is about connecting and collaborating with other local small business owners and operators.

Retail & Hospitality
We have Peter Sheppard, the Retail Doctor in the house on 8 Nov to dispense staff retention secrets! If you need some tips and trick on how to inspire and keep great staff and maximise sales of the holiday season then this is the one for you.

Creative Industies
Calling all creative based businesses to rock the Jetty Beach House on 15 November. An action packed evening exploring how to grow your creative based business on the Coffs Coast. Jeremy Sheehan co-founder of the Bay School of the Arts will kick off the session followed by a lively pane discussion exploring what makes creatively vibrant Coffs Coast.

Agriculture & Food
We are hoping to pack out Woopi Brewery on 22 Nov. We will be inspired by the likes of Pam Brook, co-founder of Brookfarm and Cape Byron Distillery to provide her insights on growing your business through value adding, reaching new markets and exploring a future Coffs Coast Food Hub.

Circular Economy
As yet this is a relatively untapped market and a bit of a mystery to some. We have brought in the expert, Lisa McLean from Circular Australia to demystify it for us, and together we can work out how we can benefit from providing circular solutions. 30 November at The Link

City of Coffs Harbour’s 6 degrees team and its partners encourage local businesses to connect for success!

Each event will take place in a different local venue with refreshments provided.

All thanks to funding by NSW Government as part of Small Business Month and in collaboration with Blacklight Collective, Coffs Coast Business Womens Network, MidWaste, Coffs City Centre, Woolgoolga & Northern Beaches Chamber of Commerce and Sawtell Chamber of Commerce.
